Dmitri Borodin

Dmitri Borodin was born in Gomel and came up through the club's youth system before making his senior debut there in 2016. His path since has been anything but settled: loans and moves took him from Orsha to Smolevichi, then to Dinamo Minsk, with further loan spells at Isloch and at Chayka in Russia's FNL. He returned to Gomel in 2021.

The midfielder's career took a turn towards Kazakhstan in 2022, when he joined Ordabasy and won the Kazakhstan Cup in his first year there. He then settled into a longer spell at Kaisar between 2023 and 2024, making 42 appearances and scoring nine goals. In 2025 he went back to Belarus, first with Gomel and then, after leaving by mutual consent, on a free transfer to Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino.

Borodin's move to Okzhetpes in January 2026 continued that pattern of free transfers between clubs, arriving from Torpedo-BelAZ without a fee changing hands. At 194cm, he is listed as considerably taller by the Kazakhstan Premier League's own statistics than some other aggregators suggest, a discrepancy that has followed his profile across different sources.

On the international stage, Borodin worked his way up through Belarus's youth ranks, representing the under-17, under-18, under-19 and under-21 sides, including appearances in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying. He received his first call-up to the senior Belarus squad in October 2023.
