Dmitry Yakovlev

Dmitry Yakovlev started out in Obninsk, coming through Kvant's youth setup and making his professional debut for the club in the Second League. Between August 2021 and January 2024 he made 44 appearances and scored 10 goals for Kvant, numbers that earned him a free transfer to Chernomorets Novorossiysk in January 2024 on a contract running to 2026.

His time at Chernomorets was brief before loan spells took over. He made just seven First League appearances for the Novorossiysk club before being sent to Leningradets in September 2024 for the rest of the 2024/25 season. From July 2025 he moved on loan again, this time to Sibir Novosibirsk for the 2025/26 season, playing 36 Second League matches and scoring six goals.

In July 2026, with his Chernomorets contract at an end, Yakovlev returned to Leningradets on a permanent, free-agent basis. He has continued scoring against Kaluga in his new First League spell with the club, wearing the number 11 shirt.

Yakovlev should not be confused with a younger player of the same name, born in 2010, who plays for SKA-Khabarovsk's under-16 side and was the leading scorer of the Far East zone youth division. The two are unrelated: the Leningradets forward has no record of representing SKA-Khabarovsk or any Russian national team.
