Eric Jeremy Edgar Dier

Eric Dier's route to the top began not in England but in Portugal, where he joined the Sporting CP academy in 2003. Two seasons on loan at Everton, from 2010 to 2012, saw him win the U18 Premier League before he returned to Lisbon to make his senior debut for Sporting later that year.

A £4 million move took him to Tottenham Hotspur in August 2014. He earned his first England call-up in November 2015 and has gone on to win 49 caps and score three goals for the national side, featuring at major tournaments and helping England to third place at the 2019 UEFA Nations League.

Dier's move to Bayern Munich arrived in January 2024, initially on loan before the option to buy was exercised two months later, turning the switch permanent for the 2024–25 season. He took the number 15 shirt, handed down by Chris Richards, and wore it through a campaign that ended in a Bundesliga title. The Cheltenham-born defender's spell in Munich proved short, and in July 2025 he moved on again, this time to AS Monaco on a free transfer.
