About the player
Federico Coletta grew up in Rome, where he joined Vigor Perconti before Roma's academy took him on in 2016. He spent nearly a decade in the club's youth system, and the numbers he put up along the way stand out: 17 goals in 28 appearances at Under-17 level, then 14 in 40 for the Under-20 side.
In September 2025 he made the move that reshaped his career, leaving Roma for Benfica B in a deal worth €1 million and signing a three-year contract that runs to 2028. Roma kept a sell-on clause, retaining 30% of any future transfer up to a ceiling of €6 million.
Coletta has represented Italy across several youth age groups, with 39 caps and 9 goals between the Under-15, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 sides. At the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship he scored three goals for his country, though he did not pick up any individual award from the tournament.
