About the player
Fernando Arce Juárez grew up carrying a name already known in Mexican football: his father, also Fernando Arce, played as a midfielder for the national team. The son was born in Chula Vista, California, and made his own way through Club Tijuana's youth ranks before making his professional debut there in 2014.
From there his career took him through Necaxa, a spell at FC Juárez where he scored four goals in 26 matches, and two separate stints at Puebla either side of a second run with Necaxa.
In July 2025 Arce joined Deportivo Toluca on a free transfer, arriving after the Clausura title had already been secured and so missing out on the Campeón de Campeones fixture that followed. He did not have to wait long to add to his medal collection at the club: Toluca won the Apertura 2025 and went on to lift the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 2026, both with Arce in the squad.
