Filip Beckman

Filip Beckman grew up playing for Kungsbacka IF, his hometown club, before a spell at PR Academy and a brief run through BK Häcken's youth ranks led him to Tölö IF, where he sat as an unused substitute for the senior side. He joined GAIS in 2019 and worked his way through the academy, training with the first team from the summer of 2022 and signing his first professional contract the following January.

His senior debut came in the Svenska Cupen, in a 2–1 win over IFK Göteborg. The breakthrough season, though, was 2023 in Superettan: Beckman made 16 league appearances and scored twice, and one of those goals — a late winner against Östers IF — proved decisive in GAIS's push for promotion to the Allsvenskan.

He made his Allsvenskan debut in July 2024 and opened his account in the top flight the following month against Halmstads BK. Standing 198 cm tall, he has become a key part of GAIS's defense, and in 2025 he was a key part of a squad that finished third in the Allsvenskan, a result that put the club into the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
