About the player
Frank Boya's career began at APEJES Academy in Cameroon before a brief move to Germany, where he joined TSV 1860 Munich in 2017 without making a first-team appearance. His path to regular football ran through Belgium instead. At Royal Excel Mouscron he played three seasons, appearing 54 times and scoring five goals, before Royal Antwerp signed him in 2020.
Loan spells followed at Zulte Waregem and Sint-Truidense, the latter yielding 31 appearances and a goal, before Boya moved to France in 2023 to join Amiens in Ligue 2. Over two seasons there he made 50 appearances, scoring once.
In February 2025 Boya switched continents, joining Club Tijuana in Mexico. He settled quickly: in his debut season with the club he made 18 appearances and scored seven goals.
Internationally, Boya has represented Cameroon since making his debut in 2016. He was part of the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon in 2017. He has earned six caps for the national team without scoring.
