About the player
Giorgi Kantaria took his first steps in the game at Dinamo Tbilisi's academy, where he won the Georgian Youth Championship in the 2014/15 season. He made his senior debut back home, at FC Zugdidi, playing 24 times before the club's relegation.
Kantaria signed for Neman Grodno in Belarus as a free agent in March 2017 and left in December 2021.
His stay at Shamakhi ended with his contract terminated in December 2024, and after eleven appearances for Sokol Saratov he moved on again.
In July 2025 Kantaria joined FK Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk as a free agent, taking the number 8 shirt and making his debut for the club in a match against Ufa. Internationally, he has represented Georgia at under-21 level, earning six caps for the youth side.
