About the player
Wang came through Guangzhou Evergrande's youth academy, joining at the age of nine in 2017 and working his way up through the ranks, playing for Guangdong Mingtu and the club's U17 side along the way. The left-back also built a national-team profile early: he was part of the China U15 side that won the 2023 EAFF U-15 Championship, then stepped up to the U17s, starting in the group stage against Saudi Arabia at the 2025 AFC U-17 Asian Cup. He was later called into the U19 squad, starting against Colombia U19 at the Toulon Tournament.
In February 2026 he left the Evergrande academy for Qingdao West Coast in the Chinese Super League. His professional debut followed that July, away to Liaoning Tieren at the Tiexi New District Sports Center, where he started and played the full 90 minutes as Qingdao West Coast won 1-0. He was 17 at the time.
Wang plays on the left side of defence, in keeping with his preferred foot.
