About the player
Gideon Goodlad's career has taken him through five clubs in three years, a path that has now landed him at Corvinul Hunedoara . The Nigerian midfielder started out at Ikon Allah FA before moving abroad in 2023 to join Maccabi Petah Tikva's under-19 side in Israel.
The most concrete mark he has left so far came at FC Sheriff Tiraspol , where he signed in July 2024 and spent a season that ended with the Moldovan Cup. His playing time there was limited, but he did not score away, but conceded. He left Sheriff in May 2025, returned briefly to Ikon Allah FA, then moved on again in August 2025 to Tunisian side ES Sahel.
That spell in Tunisia proved short. In February 2026, Goodlad signed permanently for Corvinul Hunedoara, agreeing a contract that runs to the summer of 2028. Since joining, he has featured in the Superliga.
