Gregory Nicholas Ranjitsingh

Greg Ranjitsingh built his reputation at Mercer University, where in 2014 he was named the Southern Conference's best goalkeeper and made the all-conference team.

That contract went to Louisville City FC , and it is there that Ranjitsingh had his most productive spell. Across four seasons from 2015 to 2018 he made 81 appearances and won the USL Cup twice, in 2017 and 2018. Since leaving Louisville, his path has run through a string of Major League Soccer clubs: brief stops at Orlando City and Minnesota United yielded only a handful of appearances between them, a season at Philadelphia Union passed without a single MLS match, and three years at Toronto FC brought just four league appearances.

Each of those MLS moves came without a transfer fee changing hands — free-agent signings and waiver-draft pickups rather than purchases. He arrives at New York City FC on the same basis, a free transfer.
