Guilherme Meira Ferreira Alves

Gui Meira came through Cruzeiro's academy, joining the club's youth ranks as a Sub-13 in 2018 and working his way up to become a key figure in the under-20 side. With that group he won the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 and the Campeonato Mineiro Sub-20 in 2023, and the following year he was part of the Cruzeiro side that reached the final of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, finishing as runners-up. He trained under first-team coaches Leonardo Jardim and Artur Jorge and had his contract extended to 2028, but a competitive debut for Cruzeiro's senior side never came before he was sent out on loan.

His first taste of senior football came at Aparecidense in Brazil's Série D in early 2025, where he made eight appearances without a goal or an assist, including two Copa do Brasil ties against Fluminense that Aparecidense lost home and away. In July 2025 he moved to Portugal on loan to Feirense, in Liga Portugal 2, and settled into life there quickly. He made 24 appearances and scored four goals, three of them decisive strikes during a run in January and February 2026 in which Feirense won 77% of their matches.

That form was enough to convince Feirense to extend the loan through to June 2027, with the deal including an option for the club to buy 50% of his economic rights for €1 million. He has not represented Brazil at any youth level, but his output in Portugal has turned a player who could not break into Cruzeiro's first team into a productive midfielder.
