About the player
Ibrahim Said's name first travelled beyond Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, where he scored a hat-trick against Ecuador in a 3–2 win for the Golden Eaglets.
His path to Scotland began at the Dabo Babes Academy in Kano, with early appearances in Lagos's Surulere Regional League long before Viborg or the World Cup came into view. He joined Motherwell in July 2025 on a two-year deal with a further year's option, and scored a 13th-minute header against Celtic on 30 December 2025, and he scored twice as Motherwell beat HJK in Conference League qualifying. A goal against Hibernian in August 2026 added to a run in which he has scored four league goals and contributed six in all competitions since arriving.
