About the player
Ignacio Guerrico played a single match for ADIP's first team in Argentina's fourth division before switching to Villa San Carlos in 2018. Three seasons there brought 37 appearances across the second and third tiers of Argentine football, and the club won promotion through the play-offs in 2018–19.
The bigger step came in 2021, when Guerrico left Argentina for Slovenia's Maribor. He spent three seasons in the Prva Liga, making 48 appearances for the club, interrupted by a loan spell at Tabor Sežana in 2021–22 that yielded nine matches and a goal.
He returned to Argentina in 2024 to sign for Aldosivi, where he made 59 appearances over two seasons in the Primera Nacional. That run ended in February 2026, when Guerrico moved to Ecuador on a free transfer to join Emelec, signing a one-year deal through the end of the year and taking the number 3 shirt.
