About the player
Irodotos Christodoulou's route to Polish football ran through Austrian and Czech lower divisions before it went through Cyprus. The centre-back left Anorthosis Famagusta's youth setup for Karmiotissa Pano Polemidion, then moved abroad at 17, joining SK Bischofshofen in Austria, where he scored twice in 23 Regionalliga appearances. A switch to Czech side Vysočina Jihlava followed in 2021, though first-team chances there were limited to four appearances in the FNL.
His breakthrough came back home. Christodoulou joined Digenis Ypsonas as a free agent in July 2023 and helped the club win the Cypriot Second Division title in 2024/25, earning promotion to the top flight. He kept scoring once Ypsonas reached the First Division, finding the net four times in 28 league appearances in 2025/26.
That form led to a move to Śląsk Wrocław in July 2026, in a deal reported at €135,000, with Christodoulou signing through mid-2028 and an option for a further year. He has also represented Cyprus at underage level, with seven caps for the U21s and three for the U17s, without scoring for either side.
