About the player
Jan Suchan spent five years at Viktoria Plzeň without making a single senior appearance for the first team, shuttled out on loan year after year — to Příbram, Teplice, Senica, Karviná, Vítkovice and finally Slavoj Vyšehrad, where he stayed for good in July 2020. At Vyšehrad he scored nine goals in 26 appearances, enough to earn a move to Sellier & Bellot Vlašim in January 2022.
In the 2022–23 Fortuna:Národní liga season he scored 24 goals in 45 appearances, finished as the division's second-highest scorer in the regular season with 15, captained the side and was named the league's Player of the Season. He returned to the Chance Liga with SK Dynamo České Budějovice in the summer of 2023, where he added seven goals in 34 games. In April 2024 he scored a free-kick against 1. FC Slovácko that EuroFotbal.cz named Goal of the Round.
The performances earned him a move to FK Jablonec on 18 August 2024, where he was handed the number 10 shirt straight away and made his debut against Sparta Praha. In February 2026 he returned to 1. FC Slovácko on loan for the rest of the 2025–26 season, scoring three goals in 14 appearances there.
Suchan has represented the Czech Republic at various youth levels, from the under-18s through to a single under-21 cap, but has not featured for the senior national side.
