About the player
Josué Vergara was born in Panama City and made his senior debut at Tauro FC at 17. Across two seasons in Panama he scored five goals in 35 league appearances and was part of the squad that won the LPF Apertura in 2024.
In February 2026 he joined FK Auda in the Latvian Virslīga. He scored 14 goals in 20 appearances, the league's top scorer, and Virslīga Player of the Month for April 2026.
K.A.A. Gent paid a reported €2.5–3 million for him in June 2026 and tied him to a contract running to 2031. He scored on his Pro League debut against KV Mechelen.
Vergara is the son of former footballer Davis Vergara and has represented Panama at under-20 level.
