About the player
Jakob Napoleon Romsaas came through the youth ranks at Skeid Fotball, the club where he made his senior debut in 2021. He established himself in the Skeid first team, scoring seven goals in 38 league appearances before Tromsø IL signed him on a free transfer in February 2023.
That form was recognised in July 2023, when he was named Eliteserien Young Player of the Month. His performances in the north of Norway also caught the attention of the national set-up, and he progressed through the Norway youth teams, representing the U18 and U20 sides before earning his U21 debut in March 2025.
In June 2025, Charleroi brought Romsaas to Belgium, with the transfer fee reported at between €1.3 million and €2 million.
Romsaas has yet to add a senior cap for Norway to his tally of youth international appearances.
