About the player
Jefferson Arce learned the game at SD Aucas before moving to the LDU Quito academy in 2016, and it was at LDU that he broke into first-team football in 2019, playing his early senior minutes for one of Ecuador's most decorated clubs. A loan spell at Macará followed in 2022, giving him regular football away from the capital before he returned to Quito.
In July 2023 Arce left LDU Quito to join Barcelona SC, a move to one of Ecuador's biggest clubs. His time there was disrupted in 2024, when a serious injury to his right leg kept him out for a significant part of the season. He remained under contract at Barcelona SC even after being left out of the club's plans, before joining Mushuc Runa in June 2025. Arce has since moved on to Delfín SC, where he now wears the number 31 shirt.
Internationally, Arce represented Ecuador at youth level. He played once for the under-20 side, scoring a goal, as part of the squad that finished third at the 2019 U20 World Cup. He also featured twice for the under-23 team. There is no record of him having played for Ecuador's senior national side.
