Jia Weiwei

Jia Weiwei's move to the Chinese Super League came as a free transfer, leaving Shandong Taishan for Qingdao West Coast in February 2026 at the age of 18, in a deal that also brought Brazilian forward Alvaro to the club. The switch closed out a youth career built almost entirely within Shandong's football system, where he progressed through the provincial team and the Shandong Taishan academy.

His standout moment came at the 1st National Youth Games in November 2024, when he scored the decisive goal in the semi-final against Sichuan on the way to the title with Shandong. He added another honour that year, winning the 3rd China Youth Football League U19 group with Shandong Taishan. A year earlier, at the National Games of China Men's U18 tournament in October 2023, he had gone the other way, finishing runner-up after Shandong lost to Liaoning on penalties. His development was recognised early too, when he was named "Football Future Star" at the 2020 National "Tixiao Cup" and picked for the tournament's all-star selection.

At international youth level, Jia has featured for China's U20 side, scoring once in five appearances in 2026 and playing at the Maurice Revello Tournament, and he has also represented the U19 and U18 national teams, scoring in a friendly against Uzbekistan U19 in February 2026. He has not yet been capped by the senior national team.

Despite his Qingdao West Coast contract, Jia has also turned out for Qingdao Youth Island, coming on as a substitute against Tianjin Teda in May 2026. Standing 188 cm tall, he can use either foot.
