About the player
Football runs in Kjell Peersman's family: his father, Tristan Peersman, played in goal for Belgium. He signed his first professional contract with PSV in June 2020 and made his debut for Jong PSV in January 2022, in a 5–1 win over Almere City FC. Over two seasons in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie he made 35 appearances for the reserves.
Peersman was registered with the PSV first team from 2022 to 2025 but never made an official appearance for the senior side. He was, however, part of the squad during a productive period for the club, picking up winners' medals in the KNVB Cup in 2021–22 and 2022–23, the Johan Cruyff Shield in both 2022–23 and 2023–24, and the Premier League International Cup in 2021–22.
Regular first-team football came on loan at Lierse SK, where he joined for the 2024–25 season, making 26 appearances and keeping seven clean sheets. That form led to a permanent move to KAA Gent in July 2025, where he signed a three-year contract. He has continued his development with Jong KAA Gent, featuring regularly in the 2025–26 season.
Peersman has come through the Belgian youth system at every level from U15 to U21.
