About the player
Leandro Morgalla came through the youth system at SpVgg Unterhaching before moving to TSV 1860 Munich's academy. RB Salzburg signed him in June 2023 for a fee reported between €1.8 million and €2 million, and the club sent him straight to Liefering in the Austrian 2. Liga. He still featured for Salzburg's main squad that season, and his Champions League debut came against Real Sociedad in November 2023 — part of a campaign in which Salzburg won both the Austrian Bundesliga and the Austrian Cup.
In May 2025, Salzburg loaned him to VfL Bochum for the 2025–26 season. At Bochum he has become a regular in the 2. Bundesliga, scoring his first senior goal there and adding two DFB-Pokal appearances.
Morgalla has also progressed through Germany's youth national teams, collecting caps at U18, U19 and U21 level, with a goal at U19.
