About the player
The Croatian Cup tie against Šibenik in April 2023 gave Leon Bošnjak his first senior minutes for NK Slaven Belupo — having arrived in the academy in 2018 and worked up through every youth category. He captained the junior side along the way.
Bošnjak started at NK Ferdinandovac in 2014, spent a spell at NK Kalinovac , and then moved on to NK Koprivnica before Slaven Belupo took him on.
The club committed to him in October 2025 with a new contract running to 2028. By February 2026 he was registered under a double registration with NK Koprivnica, Slaven Belupo's B-team, an arrangement that keeps him available to both sides.
With Croatia he has three caps at under-18 level and four at under-19, without scoring. In May 2025 he received a pre-call-up to the under-20 squad.
