About the player
Liu Xiaolong made his Chinese Super League debut for Shanghai Port on 16 May 2023 against Zhejiang FC, coming off the bench in the 75th minute. The forward went on to make 11 league appearances that season, three of them starts, and set up one goal. He was part of the Shanghai Port squad that lifted the Chinese Super League title in 2023, then retained it with the club in 2024, when Shanghai Port also won the Chinese FA Cup. Liu was named on the bench for that FA Cup final against Shandong Taishan wearing number 45, though he did not get on the pitch.
He has since moved on to Qingdao West Coast, also known as Qingdao Youth Island, where he continues to wear the number 45 shirt. He got off the mark for his new club on 11 April 2026, scoring in a match against Liaoning Tieren after being set up by Aziz to make it 1-0.
Liu Xiaolong should not be confused with another Chinese player of the same name, a defender born in 1989 who played for Zhejiang Yiteng, Meizhou Hakka and Dalian Kewei — a separate career from the one described here.
