About the player
He came through the youth system at Mölltorp/Breviks AIF and started out as a senior at Tibro AIK, scoring nine goals in 44 appearances before loan spells with the under-21 sides of Örebro SK and Jönköping Södra IF in 2014. Degerfors IF signed him in 2015, and over two seasons there he again reached nine goals, this time in 50 appearances.
The biggest move of his career came in January 2017, when Fritzson joined Östersunds FK. He was part of the squad that won the Svenska Cupen in the 2016–17 season, though he did not feature in the final itself, and made his competitive debut for the club later that year in Allsvenskan.
Fritzson then joined IF Brommapojkarna on a free transfer in January 2023, where he made 57 appearances and scored nine goals, and was named team captain in 2024. In January 2025 he moved abroad, signing for Zagłębie Lubin in Poland, where his involvement was limited to five first-team appearances alongside 13 games for the reserves. That contract was terminated by mutual consent in January 2026.
Fritzson has since returned to Degerfors IF on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal. Internationally, he was capped once by Sweden's under-19 side in 2015 but has not featured for the senior national team.
