About the player
Jungwirth's first season as LASK Linz's first-choice goalkeeper ended with two trophies. The club took the Austrian Bundesliga title with a 3–0 away win over Austria Wien on the final matchday, and added the Austrian Cup after beating SCR Altach 4–2 in extra time in the final.
He started at TSU Wartberg/Aist in 2012 and spent three years there before moving into the LASK academy. In 2020 he stepped up to the reserve side, FC Juniors OÖ, where he played 51 matches. He signed his first professional contract in June 2021, and in January 2023 was promoted to the senior squad at LASK.
In June 2024 he joined Admira Wacker on loan under a cooperation agreement between the clubs, but the move produced only six appearances in the 2. Liga; the loan was cut short in January 2025 and he returned to Linz. His senior debut for LASK had come during that spell, on 20 October 2024.
He has represented Austria through the youth ranks, with caps at under-15, under-16 and under-18 level, and seven with the under-21 side. In July 2025, LASK extended his contract to 2029.
