Mykola Buzhyn

Buzhyn's career has run almost entirely through the lower and regional tiers of Ukrainian and German football, a path that began at FC Molodiav Poltava before he moved on to FC Barsa Sumy in his youth years. Two years later he switched to another German regional side, FC Anker Wismar, before returning home in the summer of 2020.

That return, a free transfer to FK Trostyanets, lasted less than a year. In March 2021 Buzhyn signed for SK Poltava, again without a fee changing hands, and has stayed there since. Every one of his moves between clubs has come on a free basis, with no significant transfer sums involved at any stage of his career.

A right-back by trade, though equally used as a right wing-back, Buzhyn is right-footed. The club's promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League came during his time on the books, a marker of progress for a player whose career had until then been confined to regional and lower-division football in both Ukraine and Germany. He has not been called up to Ukraine's senior national team.
