Miroslav Káčer

Miroslav Káčer joined the MŠK Žilina academy at the age of seven and worked through the ranks to make his senior debut on 26 August 2012 against Spartak Myjava, scoring on his first appearance in a 4-1 win. He went on to make 184 appearances for the club and scored 31 goals, and was part of the squad that won the Slovak championship in the 2016-17 season under Adrian Guľa.

In May 2020 Káčer followed Guľa to Viktoria Plzeň, where he made 38 appearances and scored twice, and was on the books when the club won the Czech First League title in 2021-22. The 2022-23 season took him on loan to DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, a move made permanent the following summer.

He returned to Žilina as a free agent on 22 July 2024, signing a contract to 2028, and has since established himself as a regular starter as the club has pushed for a strong league position. He added the Slovak Cup to his honours in 2024-25.

Internationally, Káčer came through Slovakia's youth sides at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level before earning two senior caps in January 2017, both in friendlies played in Abu Dhabi. He made his debut as a substitute in a 1-3 defeat to Uganda and later featured in a 0-6 loss to Sweden, without adding to his goal tally at that level. He has twice been named in the Slovak Super Liga's Team of the Season, for 2019-20 and 2022-23.
