Marin Aleksandrov Orlinov

Marin Orlinov has spent most of his career waiting for a first team to trust him for a full season. He came up through the youth ranks at Litex Lovech after starting out at the Olympic school in Galata and passing through the Vidima-Rakovski academy in Sevlievo, and he stayed on Litex's books between 2012 and 2016 without making a single appearance for the senior side. What followed instead was a run of loans and moves through the lower and middle tiers of Bulgarian football, each one giving him the minutes Litex would not.

A brief loan at Chavdar Etropole produced just one match, but two separate spells on loan at Spartak Pleven, either side of 2016, brought him closer to regular football, with eleven and then seven appearances. Botev Galabovo and Montana followed, the latter keeping him on for three seasons and yielding twenty appearances, before a short stint at Neftochimic Burgas in 2021.

The most settled period of his career came at Litex Lovech, where a return in 2022 brought forty-eight appearances over two seasons. A move to CSKA Sofia followed in 2023, but the step up did not translate into first-team football; he made no appearances for CSKA's senior side and was instead used for CSKA II, where he played thirty-one matches.

Orlinov has also represented Bulgaria at under-21 level, with three caps to his name, though he was not part of the under-19 setup and has not been called into the senior national team. In January 2026 he joined Botev Vratsa on a free transfer.
