About the player
Mame Ndiaga Wade moved to Europe in 2021 to sign for DAC Dunajská Streda in Slovakia. The move did not lead to first-team football straight away — DAC sent him out on loan to ŠTK 1914 Šamorín for two seasons, where he made only two appearances, and when he returned to Dunajská Streda he still could not break into the side.
The turning point came in February 2024, when he dropped down to Austria's fifth tier to join FC Wacker Innsbruck. From there, he earned promotion to the Regionalliga Tirol in his first season, then a further promotion to the Regionalliga West the year after. In June 2025 he stepped up again, signing for SC Austria Lustenau in the Austrian 2. Liga.
That switch turned into the best season of his career so far. Wade made 27 appearances for Lustenau in 2025/26, scoring 7 goals and adding 5 assists as the club won the ADMIRAL 2. Liga title and secured promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga. His performances were recognised at league level, where he was named the competition's second-best player of the season.
In July 2026, Wade left Austria for Belgium, joining RAAL La Louvière in the Pro League, with the financial terms of the transfer kept confidential.
