About the player
Miguel Ângelo Moreira de Magalhães, known as Maga, is a right-back who moved on to Rio Ave, a spell at Padroense, then back to Rio Ave and on to Vitória Guimarães. He made his senior debut with Vitória Guimarães B in the 2021–2022 season, going on to make 68 appearances and score twice for the reserve side.
Maga then joined FC Penafiel, where he stayed until 2025, making between 62 and 65 appearances and contributing three goals and three assists. Among those was his first goal in the Portuguese second tier, scored against Oliveirense in August 2024.
In July 2025 he signed for União de Leiria on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract that runs until 2027. By June 2026 he had made 30 appearances in Liga Portugal 2, scoring three goals and setting up another. He has not been capped by any Portuguese national team.
