Matthew Corcoran

Dallas raised him before FC Dallas did: Matthew Corcoran spent years at Dallas Texans before the club's academy took him in as a teenager, and North Texas SC called him up to train with the reserve side while he was still fifteen. That age kept following him. On 14 January 2022, at fifteen, he signed his first professional contract, with USL Championship side Birmingham Legion.

Birmingham gave him the bulk of his development, 46 appearances across three seasons, with a single goal to show for it: a free kick against Pittsburgh Riverhounds in May 2023. Then, in February 2024, a torn labrum in his right hip put the brakes on everything. Surgery followed, and with it 26 matches on the sidelines. He came back that August and picked up where he had left off.

Nashville SC signed him in February 2025, for an undisclosed fee, on a deal running through 2027 with club options beyond that.

The national team has tracked his progress in parallel. He featured for the United States at the 2023 U-17 World Cup, including a last-16 tie against Germany, then stepped up to the U-20s in 2025, scoring against both Mexico and Japan across ten appearances.
