Mattia Walker

Mattia Walker came through FC Luzern's academy from the age of ten, working his way up through every youth level before signing his first professional contract in December 2024, a deal running to June 2028 that the club has since extended to 2029. He made his Swiss Super League debut for Luzern that November, coming off the bench against Yverdon-Sport.

By then he had already tested himself away from Luzern, spending the 2023/24 season on loan at Étoile Carouge in the Challenge League. He is now out on loan again, this time at FC Vaduz in the Super League, continuing the pattern of first-team football away from his parent club while he develops. Along the way he won the Swiss U19 Cup with Luzern.

Walker has represented Switzerland at U20 level. Transfermarkt lists him as Swiss, though his agency has described him as holding dual Swiss-Croatian citizenship, and FC Vaduz have referred to him as a Swiss U21 international.

A left-footed midfielder, each step, from Central Switzerland's youth football through Carouge and now Vaduz, has been about accumulating minutes at senior level.
