Mohamed Azzi

Mohamed Azzi grew up in Ouargla and came through the youth ranks at IRB Ouargla before joining the CR Belouizdad academy in 2018. He made his senior debut for the Algiers club in June 2021 and went on to win the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 three seasons running, in 2020–21, 2021–22 and 2022–23, followed by the Algerian Cup in 2023–24. Across his time at Belouizdad he made around 27 league appearances as a right-back.

In February 2025 Azzi moved to Dynamo Makhachkala for an undisclosed fee. In September 2026 he completed a move to CSKA Moscow, a transfer reportedly worth €3.25 million plus a 10% sell-on clause, with Azzi signing a four-year contract that includes the option of a further year.

On the international stage, Azzi has represented Algeria at youth level, earning caps for the under-20 side between 2020 and 2022 and later adding appearances for the under-23s in 2022. He has also featured for an Algeria selection in 2025, though his path to the senior national team is still being written.
