Nando Toggenburger

Nando Toggenburger came through the SC Kriens youth ranks before moving to the FC Luzern academy in the summer of 2019, working his way up through the club's junior sides to the U21 team. Luzern handed him his first professional contract in July 2022, and he made his Super League debut that same season. The club's faith in him grew quickly: his deal was extended to June 2027 in June 2023, and stretched further still, to June 2029, the following June.

Since then his development has run through a string of loans rather than a settled place in Luzern's first team. At FC Thun in the Challenge League in 2023/24 he scored five goals in 19 league appearances plus two Swiss Cup outings. A move to FC Stade Lausanne-Ouchy for 2024/25 was cut short in April 2025, when a knee injury sent him back to Luzern early. He is currently out on loan again, at SC Kriens, an arrangement that runs to the end of June 2026.

At representative level, Toggenburger has been capped five times for Switzerland's U19s, scoring four goals. Team success has followed him at various levels too: he won the Promotion League with Luzern's U21 side in 2022/23, and lifted the same title with Kriens in 2025/26, a campaign that carried the club up into the Challenge League.
