Neraysho Meritchio Kasanwirjo

Kasanwirjo came through Ajax's academy, making his first senior appearances for Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie before joining FC Groningen on a free transfer, where two seasons in the Eredivisie earned him a move to Feyenoord for a reported fee of around €1.5–2 million. Instead, his time at Feyenoord became a string of loans that took him from Austria to Scotland to Norway to the Netherlands, at Rapid Wien, Rangers, Molde and now Fortuna Sittard.

The pattern says something about how his career has unfolded: a player whose development has continued mostly away from his parent club, gathering experience in four different leagues in the space of a few seasons.

Kasanwirjo's strongest period so far came with the Netherlands youth teams. He was part of the side that won the 2019 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, a tournament in which he made 13 appearances and scored once, and he has since added caps at under-15, under-16 and under-21 level.

At club level, he holds an Eredivisie winner's medal from Feyenoord's 2022–23 title-winning campaign and a Johan Cruijff Shield from 2024. He now continues his development at Fortuna Sittard for the 2025–26 season.
