About the player
Oliver Højer is a product of FC Copenhagen's own academy, arriving in the first team without a prior stop at another club. In December 2023 he signed an "FCK Talent" contract, and within a month the club extended his terms to run to 2029.
He was promoted permanently to the first-team squad in July 2024 and made his debut that same month, in a UEFA Conference League qualifier against FC Bruno Magpies. His Danish Superliga debut followed on 11 August 2024. In his first season among the seniors, Copenhagen won both the Superliga and the Danish Cup.
Højer has also featured for Denmark at various youth levels, gathering caps for the under-17, under-18 and under-19 sides, including five appearances at the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
He is due to spend the 2026–27 season away from Parken, with a pre-agreed loan move to Lyngby Boldklub arranged without a purchase option.
