Ryan Jiro Gravenberch

Ryan Gravenberch came through the Ajax academy, joining as a ten-year-old before signing his first professional contract in 2018 and making his senior debut that September. He also spent two seasons with Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie, and by the time he left the club he had won three Eredivisie titles and two KNVB Cups, alongside individual honours such as the Marco van Basten Award and the Johan Cruyff Trophy for the division's best young player.

His move to Bayern Munich in 2022 brought a Bundesliga title and a DFL-Supercup. Liverpool signed him in September 2023, culminating in the Premier League title in 2024–25 alongside the EFL Cup the previous season. That campaign also brought him the Premier League Young Player of the Season award and a place in the PFA Team of the Year.

At international level, Gravenberch first made his mark by winning the European Under-17 Championship with the Netherlands in 2018. He has since gone on to senior honours, playing at Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 — where the Dutch took bronze — and featuring at the 2026 World Cup. His first goal for the senior side came in a friendly against Georgia in June 2021.

Across his career he has worn a series of shirt numbers, settling on 38 at Ajax, Bayern and now Liverpool.
