Roy Nawi came through Maccabi Tel Aviv's academy, joining in 2015 after starting out at Maccabi Or Yehuda, and signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2023. Rather than break into the first team in Tel Aviv, he was sent out on loan to Hapoel Petah Tikva for the 2023–24 season before moving on to Hapoel Haifa, where the loan spell was extended through the 2025–26 campaign. Across his time in Haifa he made 38 appearances and scored one goal. In July 2026 he joined Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih on a fresh loan for the 2026–27 season.

Nawi's most eye-catching moments have come with Israel's youth sides. He was capped 11 times for the U19s, including five appearances at the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, where Israel finished as runners-up. At the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup he scored a free-kick in a 2–1 win over Japan, one of his seven caps and a goal at that level. He has since added six caps for the U21s, with his most recent appearance at that level coming in late 2025. He has not yet made his senior international debut.

A defensive midfielder by trade, Nawi wears the number 14 shirt at Hapoel Haifa. His path so far has been built on loan spells rather than a settled run in Maccabi Tel Aviv's first team, with his development tracked instead through the age-group sides of the national team.
