About the player
Roan Nogha's route to Baník Ostrava ran through two loan spells before Ostrava committed to him. Born in Yaoundé, he started out at Nkufo Academy Sports in Cameroon before moving to Europe in April 2022 on loan to AC Oulu in Finland's Veikkausliiga, where he made his debut against Ilves that April and scored twice in the Suomen Cup that year.
A second loan followed in early 2023, this time to FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim in the Czech second tier, making 36 league appearances and scoring once. That run in Czech football set up his move to Baník Ostrava in July 2024, initially on loan from Nkufo Academy Sports with an option to buy; administrative delays meant the deal was not finalised until 19 July that year.
Nogha spent the following season with Baník Ostrava B in the Czech National League, adding 28 appearances and two goals there. Baník Ostrava exercised the option to make the move permanent in July 2026, signing him on a three-year contract.
Nogha has not yet been capped by Cameroon at senior level.
