About the player
Roman Horák came through the AC Sparta Prague academy, and it was there that he built his reputation, winning the Czech U19 Championship with Sparta's youth side in both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons. He stepped up to Sparta B and made his breakthrough with the senior squad in September 2023.
At international level, Horák has worked his way through the age groups for the Czech Republic, appearing for the U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 sides.
With his path to regular first-team football at Sparta blocked, the midfielder was sent out on loan for experience: first a brief spell at Vysočina Jihlava, then a move to Slovácko to see out the second half of the season.
