Samuel Loureiro Carvalho Justo

Samuel Justo made his way through Sporting CP's academy from the age of nine, arriving from Sport Túlias de Alcoitão in 2013 and signing his first professional contract in October 2020. Two years later he was promoted to Sporting CP B, where he has since made around 70 appearances and scored seven goals in Liga 3 and Liga Portugal 2. He has yet to make an official appearance for the Sporting first team, though he has trained with the senior squad and been named in matchday squads for the Taça de Portugal and Champions League fixtures.

At Casa Pia, in the Primeira Liga between August 2023 and June 2024, he made 25 appearances across the league, the Taça de Portugal and the Taça da Liga, scoring once, against Portimonense. A second loan followed at S.C. Farense in the first half of 2025, where he added five league appearances before returning to Sporting.

Justo has been a regular presence in Portugal's youth set-ups, moving through the U16, U18, U19 and U20 age groups. His most productive spell came with the U18s, where he scored six goals in 15 caps. With the U19 side, he reached the final of the 2023 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Malta, where Portugal finished runners-up. At club level, he was part of the Sporting CP U19 side that reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League in the 2022/23 season, going out to AZ Alkmaar on penalties.
