About the player
Simon Bammens joined FK Pardubice as a free agent on 20 July 2025. Born in Genk, the right-footed defender came through CS Mechelen A/D Maas before a brief stint at KRC Genk in 2016, then spent two years at Olympia Wijgmaal.
His move to KVC Westerlo in 2018 led to a loan spell at KVV Thes Sport Tessenderlo from January 2019, extended through the following season before he joined the club permanently in July 2020 once his Westerlo contract had run out. He stayed with Thes Sport until 2023.
The clearest highlight of his career so far came at Patro Eisden Maasmechelen, whom he joined in January 2023. In his first half-season there, the club won the Belgian National Division 1 title, earning promotion to the Challenger Pro League. Bammens remained at Patro Eisden until his contract expired on 30 June 2025, before signing for Pardubice, where he now wears the number 44 shirt.
