Simon Göran Gefvert

Simon Gefvert's career has run almost entirely through Sweden's lower and middle divisions, with a single top-flight season standing out from the rest. He began at Ösmo GIF, playing in the youth ranks before making his senior debut there in 2013. A move to IFK Haninge followed, where he spent four seasons in Division 3 and Division 2, before a year at Karlslunds IF in 2019.

In December 2019, Gefvert signed for Allsvenskan side IK Sirius on a two-year deal, a step up that took him into Sweden's top division. He made his league debut there in September 2020, though his time at the club was limited to a handful of appearances in the league and the Swedish Cup.

The bigger shift in his career came in March 2021, when he joined Västerås SK on a two-year contract. He debuted for the club that April in Superettan and has remained there since, extending his deal twice, in December 2022 and again in December 2023. That spell delivered the high point of his career in 2023, when Västerås won Superettan and secured promotion to Allsvenskan, a route back to the top flight after his brief stint there with Sirius three years earlier. Gefvert has since made well over a hundred appearances for the club across its various competitions.
