Simon Girke Jorgensen

Simon Girke Jørgensen spent his youth years at Bramming BK, Næsby BK and in the Odense BK academy, but left OB's system in 2024 without a first-team appearance to his name. His senior career began not in Denmark but in the Faroe Islands, where FC Hoyvík signed him in July 2024; he scored twice in nine matches in the Faroese Second Division before the club was relegated.

The move that changed things came in January 2025, when he joined Skála ÍF. He scored 10 goals in 12 matches as the club won promotion to the Faroese Premier League, then followed it up the next season with 6 goals and an assist in 15 top-flight appearances. Across his two seasons at Skála ÍF he scored 17 goals in 28 games.

GAIS signed him in July 2026, taking him to Allsvenskan football for the first time. He has made five league appearances for the Swedish club so far, alongside two in the UEFA Conference League, though he is still waiting to open his goalscoring account in Sweden according to official statistics, despite some reports crediting him with a goal against Halmstads BK.

Jørgensen has not featured for any Danish national youth side or the senior team.
