Soslan Kagermazov

Soslan Kagermazov grew up in Nartkala, Kabardino-Balkaria, where he began playing football at the local DSSh, though some records instead list Kamennomost, Karachay-Cherkessia as his birthplace. He came through the youth ranks at Kuban Krasnodar, making 45 appearances for the reserve side without ever breaking into the first team, before turning professional with Sochi in July 2016. A loan-like move to Afips Afipsky followed, then a switch to Shinnik Yaroslavl in the Russian First Division. His career took a different turn in July 2019, when he joined FC Noah in Yerevan, where he won the Armenian Cup in the 2019/20 season and made an appearance in the UEFA Europa League the following year. A brief, appearance-less spell at Noah Jūrmala in Latvia preceded his move to Dynamo Makhachkala in the summer of 2021.

At Makhachkala, Kagermazov became a key figure in the club's rise through Russian football, starting with the Second Division Group 1 title in 2021/22 and continuing through the play-offs that sealed promotion to the Russian Premier League in the 2023/24 season. He made his top-flight debut on 21 July 2024 and scored his first Premier League goal against Zenit Saint Petersburg the following season. He has now made more than 135 league appearances for the club, scoring six goals, and operates as either a full-back or wing-back.

Kagermazov was awarded the title of Master of Sports of Russia in 2019, recognition that came as his career carried him from the lower divisions through Armenia and Latvia before settling at Makhachkala.
