Stanislav Agkatsev

Four penalties saved out of five in a single Russian Premier League season put Stanislav Agkatsev on lists he had no business being on a year earlier. The International Centre for Sports Studies ranked him among the best four or five goalkeepers in the world for the year ending in April 2025, and Russian voters placed him second in the List of 33 Best Footballers in the Premier League for 2024–25, then first the following season.

He came to Krasnodar's academy in 2015 from DYuSSh "Yunost" in his home city, Vladikavkaz, and spent years working upwards through the club's own structure: Krasnodar-3 in the Second League from 2018, Krasnodar-2 in the First League from 2019. The first-team debut arrived in February 2021. He has never been loaned out and has never played for another club; in June 2024 he signed an extension running to the end of the 2028–29 season.

The season that followed brought Krasnodar their first league title. Agkatsev started the decisive final match against Dynamo that secured it, and the club named him its Best Footballer of the Season for 2024–25. Silver medals came either side of that, in 2023–24 and 2025–26, along with Russian Cup final defeats in 2022–23 and 2025–26.

Russia called him up through the youth sides first — four caps at U-21 between 2021 and 2022, one at U-23 in 2023. His senior debut came on 15 November 2024 against Brunei, as a second-half substitute in an 11-0 win. Six senior appearances have followed, all friendlies: Grenada, Bolivia, Chile, Mali and Egypt. He has kept four clean sheets in them and conceded three goals.
