About the player
Tarık Buğra Kalpaklı is a product of the Fatih Karagümrük academy, having arrived there in December 2021 after coming through Galatasaray and Neslişahspor as a boy. He worked his way up through the club's youth sides, scoring four goals in seven matches for the U19s in the 2024/2025 season, and made his first senior appearance in a Turkish Cup tie against Ümraniyespor in December 2024. His Süper Lig debut followed in September 2025, when he started a 0-2 defeat to İstanbul Başakşehir FK.
What stands out since then is the scoring rate. In the 2025/2026 season he has found the net eleven times in nineteen Süper Lig appearances, added four goals in five Turkish Cup matches, and struck twelve times in twelve U19 Elite League games, on top of a goal in the TFF First League.
He has also been capped by Turkey at U17 level, scoring four goals in twelve appearances, including a hat-trick in a 5-0 UEFA U17 European Championship qualifying win over Malta.
