Thelo Gerard Aasgaard

Thelo Aasgaard was born in Liverpool to a Norwegian father and a mother of French descent, and it is Norway he has chosen to represent at senior level. He came through Liverpool's own academy before switching to Wigan Athletic at 14, and it was at Wigan that he built his career, making his professional debut there in October 2020 and going on to score 23 league goals in 140 appearances for the club. He signed his first professional contract in January 2021 and extended it twice, once to 2026 and again, in July 2023, to 2028.

A £3.5 million buy-out clause took him to Luton Town in January 2025, a switch that yielded 17 appearances and two goals before the club's relegation. He moved on to Rangers that July, signing a contract to 2029, and scored eight goals in 35 league appearances for the Ibrox side before joining RSC Anderlecht on loan in September 2026 with an option to buy.

His breakthrough with Norway came in March 2025, when he scored on his senior debut in a 5–0 World Cup qualifying win over Moldova. Six months later, against the same opposition, he came off the bench in the 65th minute and scored four goals as Norway won 11–1. He has also found the net against France at the World Cup. In nine caps for Norway, he has scored six goals.
