The number 19 on Uroš Tegeltija's shirt at Železničar Pančevo is not an accident: he picked it for the day of the month he was born.

He came to the club in the summer of 2025 as a free agent, leaving Red Star on 28 June and signing a three-year deal that runs to 30 June 2028. No fee changed hands. At Red Star he had spent 2024/25 with the youth sides and did not appear in the Serbian SuperLiga, though he was named in squads. His one senior outing came in the cup — on 26 March 2025, in the last 16 against OFK Belgrade, he replaced Bruno Duarte in the 83rd minute of a 5–3 win.

The path there started at six, at Sloga in Temerin, where he stayed until 2018. A year at One Team followed, then three years in the Čukarički academy alongside his twin brother Dragan. Red Star took him into their system in the summer of 2022.

Serbia called him up through the youth grades. He played three times at under-16 level in 2022 and eight times at under-17 in the same year, scoring once during European Championship qualifying. An under-18 appearance followed in 2023. He has since been named in under-21 squads and featured in friendlies, including a match against Kyrgyzstan's under-23s.

Through the middle of 2026 he had made 16 SuperLiga appearances in the 2025/26 season, without a goal or an assist, and had picked up three yellow cards.
